Using your own Designs
Last updated: October 20, 2026
Once you've created your own Design in Customily, you can use it to personalize products in your store, whether you're creating new product listings or adding personalization to existing ones.
Your Designs can be combined with different Product Bases, including your own products and those from integrated Print-on-Demand (POD) providers. This lets you reuse the same artwork across multiple products without recreating it each time.
Why use your own Designs?
Using your own Designs gives you full creative control over the artwork and personalization options you offer shoppers.
You can:
Create unique personalized products that match your brand.
Offer artwork and personalization options not available in Customily's ready-made Design gallery.
Reuse the same Design across different products, adjusting its size and placement to fit each print area.
How to use your Designs
When you select one of your Designs during product setup, Customily combines it with the Product Base to automatically create the Template and Option Set needed for personalization.
You can use your Designs in two ways:
Create a new personalized product
Choose a Product Base, select one of your saved Designs, and adjust its placement on the product. Customily creates the product with its personalization options, preview, and print-ready file setup.

Add personalization to an existing product
If you already have a product listed in your store, you can apply one of your Designs without creating a new listing.
Choose the existing product, connect it to the appropriate Product Base, and select your Design to set up its personalization.

Find and manage your Designs
All the Designs you've created or customized are available under Designs in your Customily dashboard.
From there, you can edit, clone, rename, or manage your Designs and their Option Sets.
