The my product bases panel is where you’ll find all the product bases you’ve created manually inside Customily. From here, you can create new product bases, manage existing ones, and prepare them for publishing personalized products.

What you can do in this panel

Product bases are shown in order of creation or last edit — the newest or most recently edited items appear at the top of the list.

Each product base is displayed as a card with its thumbnail, name, created date, modified date, and a few quick actions to help you manage it.

Create a new product base

To create a new product base, click the create new product base button in the top left corner of the panel.

This will open the product base studio, where you’ll define print areas, mockups, and variants. Learn how to create a new product base from scratch here.

Pro Tip

If you're creating a product that's similar to an existing one, consider cloning an existing base instead and making edits — it can save a lot of time.

Edit a product base

To edit a base, hover over it and click the pencil icon that appears.

This will open the product base studio, where you can go through each step and update:

  • Print dimensions or areas
  • Print file settings
  • Mockups and variant images
  • Product variants and options

Once saved, the base will be updated and moved to the top of your product base list.

Rename or change the thumbnail

To rename a product base:

  • Hover over the name and click the pencil icon, or
  • Double-click the name directly
Type the new name and press Enter to save it.

To change the product base thumbnail:

  • Hover over the product image and click on it to upload a new one

Thumbnails are generated automatically from the mockup and are purely visual — they won’t affect the product itself. You can update them if you want to better recognize or organize your bases.

Clone or delete a base

To clone a product base:

  • Hover over the base and click the clone icon.
    Clone product base.png
This will create a new product base with the word “cloned” added to its name.
Once cloned, the product base will automatically open in the editor so you can start making changes right away.

To delete a product base:

  • Hover over the base and click the trash icon
Confirm the deletion to permanently remove it from your account.
    delete product base.png

If you've already published products using this product base, they won't be affected when you delete it. However, deleting a product base cannot be undone — make sure you won’t need it again before removing it.
