A Product Base is the starting point for creating personalized products in Customily. It represents a blank version of the item you want to sell — like a mug, t-shirt, or canvas — and contains all the setup needed to display it in your store and generate the print file for fulfillment.
This is where you’ll add your personalizable design to turn a plain product into a unique, customizable one.
Each product base includes:
- Print area(s): Where the design will be placed and exported
- Mockup image(s): What shoppers will see in your store
- Variants: Product options like size, color, or material
- Print file settings: File format, resolution, color mode, and more
Types of Product Bases
There are two ways to use product bases in Customily:
- POD Product Bases: Ready-to-use bases from integrated print-on-demand providers like Printify or Printful. Learn how to use a POD Product base.
