Adjusting your design to match the preview

Last updated: May 5, 2026

When you move to the preview, after you set your background, your design elements will appear exactly as they were created in the print file.

Since the print file and the preview are separate, these elements will likely not match the product image at first.

This step is about adjusting them so they fit the product correctly and look realistic.

How to adjust your design

To edit an element, click on it in the workspace or select it from the layer panel.

You can then:

  • Move elements to align them with the product

  • Resize them to match the product proportions

  • Rotate or skew them to fit the perspective

  • Adjust colors, textures, and opacity to improve realism

Tip

To move or resize multiple elements at once, hold Shift and select them together. This helps you keep the overall positioning consistent with your print file.

Making your preview look realistic

To get the best results:

  • Adjust elements to match the shape and positioning of the product

  • Use skew and rotation to elements simulate real-world angles and perspective

  • Hide elements that shouldn't be visible on the preview, like cropmarks or guidelines

  • Tweak colors and textures so they match the material (e.g., wood, fabric, metal). Changes made here do not affect the print file, so you can tweak colors to better match how they appear in real life

  • Use opacity to blend elements naturally into the product

You can also use dynamic images to add additional visual elements to your preview, such as shadows, textures, or variations.

Important

All adjustments made in the preview:

  • Do not affect the print file

  • Only affect how the preview will appear on your shop

This allows you to focus on making the mockup look right without impacting production.
